This fourth Seminar of Strain Counter-Strain Techniques or Jones Techniques comes in logical sequence of developing an osteopathic hand and learning new osteopathic techniques.
Strain Counter-strain (SCS) is the fourth most commonly used osteopathic manipulative technique following soft tissue techniques, High Velocity Low Amplitude Thrust, and muscle energy technique. Also known as positional release, SCS is a passive positional technique aimed at relieving musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction through indirect manual manipulation.
During this seminar, you will have the ability to learn accurate palpation of Tender-Points (TP) essential in SCS that are different from Trigger-Points. Tender-Points have been described as tender upon palpation, small (<1 cm), round, edematous, and found in muscle, tendon, ligament, or fascial tissues, unlike Trigger-Points which are found within stiff and tense musculo-tendinous tissue bands.

All participants should be in order with their respected Orders (Lebanese Order of Physicians, Lebanese Order of Physical Therapists) and/or Associations/Societies locally and/or internationally.
Participants should pay the total seminar fee one month prior to the start of the seminar.
IOT delivers a Certification to each participant at the completion of each Seminar. The certification will valid part of other curriculums done by IOT especially the 4 years training curriculum.
